A face-to-face CPN meeting in Switzerland in 2023?
The Brocher Foundation could be the perfect venue
For some years we’ve thought about applying for a residency at the Brocher Foundation on the banks of Switzerland’s Lemen Lake.
This week the Foundation released its call for residency and workshop proposals and it made me wonder whether 2023 might not be the year.
Critical Physiotherapy is now an established field within the profession, and we have nine years of scholarship behind us. It may be time for us to take stock of what we’ve achieved, and lay the foundations for the next decade’s work.
What’s more, the last time we were able to meet face-to-face was in July 2017, for the (then) WCPT Congress in Cape Town. So we’re long overdue.
While the Brocher Foundation’s 1-3 month residency may be a bit much, a 2 or 3 days multidisciplinary workshop may be ideal (see link).
By all means click on the title to go to the site where you can leave a comment, or post a reply on Facebook or Twitter. It would be lovely to hear whether you’d be keen to take part.
Sounds amazing. I'm in. Although, if we're going to make the effort for 2-3 days, then why not make it 4-5 days instead? I wonder if a more drawn-out, reflective period may work better, rather than a more intense 2-3 days. I know that 4-5 days would be harder for most people to make, but I can imagine that some folks would come for 2 days, others for 3, and some for the whole thing.
Amazing to see this photo again - agree with Tone - miss you all - so many now very familiar faces :-)
