Additional Critical Physiotherapy focused symposium ideas for World Congress of Physical Therapy
Respond directly ASAP to the leads
Last week, we invited our community to propose ‘focused symposium’ ideas for World Physiotherapy 2027. The conference calls for focused symposium are open through Apr 8, 2026. Each focused symposium is usually 3 speakers plus a moderator.
Two of our critical physiotherapist colleagues are hoping to find other critical folks who want to create and co-present a focused symposium. Please reply to them directly if you are interested, as soon as possible (given the Apr 8th deadline):
Lesley Meyer is looking for others to work toward a focused symposium on the topic: The forensic frontier: Coercion, dominance of power, and the ramifications of healthcare auditing in the global south. If interested, email Lesley directly at cope.saphysio@gmail.com
Oyin Otubusen would like to find others wishing to work on Critical History of Physiotherapy, with several topics as additional. If you are interested, please contact Oyin directly at ogunlan3@myumanitoba.ca
